چکیده

When x(t) is narrow-banded, |z(t)| can be regarded as a slow-varying envelope of x(t) while the phase derivative ∂t[tan −1(y/x)] is an instantaneous frequency. Thus, Hilbert transform can be interpreted as a way to represent a narrow-band signal in terms of amplitude and frequency modulation. The transform is therefore useful for diverse purposes such as latency analysis in neuro-physiological signals (Recio-Spinoso et al., 2011; van Drongelen, 2007), design of bizarre stimuli for psychoacoustic experiments (Smith et al., 2002), speech data compression for communication (Potamianos & Maragos, 1994), regularization of convergence problems in multi-channel acoustic echo cancellation (Liu & Smith, 2002), and signal processing for auditory prostheses (Nie et al., 2006).

Equivalence of K-functionals and modulus of smoothness for fourier transform

In Hilbert space L2(Rn), we prove the equivalence between the mod-ulus of smoothness and the K-functionals constructed by the Sobolev space cor-responding to the Fourier transform. For this purpose, Using a spherical meanoperator.

A Time-Frequency approach for EEG signal segmentation

The record of human brain neural activities, namely electroencephalogram (EEG), is generally known as a non-stationary and nonlinear signal. In many applications, it is useful to divide the EEGs into segments within which the signals can be considered stationary. Combination of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert transform, called Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), is a new and powerful ...

Survey Paper on Hilbert Transform With its Applications in Signal Processing

In signal processing, Hilbert transform is used as an analytical tool. Hilbert Transform (HT) is useful in certain kinds of modulation schemes and also for bounded signals. The overall narrow band signals can be easily interpreted in terms of amplitude and frequency modulation. The various applications are present in magnetic recording, filter designing, edge detection and image processing. Key...

APPLICATIONS OF SOFT SETS IN HILBERT ALGEBRAS

The concept of soft sets, introduced by Molodtsov [20] is a mathematicaltool for dealing with uncertainties, that is free from the difficultiesthat have troubled the traditional theoretical approaches. In this paper, weapply the notion of the soft sets of Molodtsov to the theory of Hilbert algebras. The notion of soft Hilbert (abysmal and deductive) algebras, soft subalgebras, soft abysms and sof...

Nonlinear and Non-stationary Vibration Analysis for Mechanical Fault Detection by Using EMD-FFT Method

The Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is a powerful method for nonlinear and non-stationary vibrations analysis. This approach consists of two basic parts of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert spectral analysis (HSA). To achieve the reliable results, Bedrosian and Nuttall theorems should be satisfied. Otherwise, the phase and amplitude functions are mixed together and consequently, the ...

The Discrete Hilbert Transform for Non-Periodic Signals

The discrete Hilbert transform (DHT) has a variety of applications in signal representation and processing [2-4]. The transform comes in a variety of forms based on assumptions on how the signal is derived from a corresponding periodic signal. The form presented by Kak [1] takes the signal to be non-periodic. Several versions of the transform for periodic signals are also known [5], [6], [7], [...
